Problem with Seed XIAO ESP32 Microscope

Hi there,

I’ve got a OpenUC2 10x AI Microscope by Seed Studio XIAO ESP32S3 Sense. I flashed it with the current firmware (Nov 11th). I can connect to the webserver, but I have problems with getting the stream started. I only see an image for a very short amount of time (some seconds) and after that it’s all black. It’s the same with still images, I can get them for some seconds and after that every image is black. If I restart the microscope it works again for some seconds and then everything is black again.

I already checked the console and commands from the web-application can be seen, but no image.

Hi Beetlebum,

thanks for reaching out. Did you check if the wifi connection is stable? The wifi atenna is at the bottom side and sometimes it doesnt give proper wifi signal because the position of the atenna. Maybe you can try to adjust it a bit to see if the connection is getting better. And if you keep the online console on, did you see some error when it starts capture images?

let me know it it helps. I will also try to flash one with the new firmware to see if i get the same problem as you

@beetlebum maybe you can try folding the antenna like so:

This should improve the signal strength according to @SeeedStudio.
