Standard 24 Well Plate with XY Table

Hi there,

I would like to use a standard 24 well plate (this one exactly) with the XY table as seen on the UC2-Motorized-XY-Table repo. Unfortunately, once the glass pane is removed, the 24 well plate does not fit inside (see photo).

I have a few questions:

1. Is there any particular reason you decided to remove the glass pane in your design and have the sample slides lowered inside the table?
2. Can you see any problems with me designing a new mount to hold the 24 well plate on top of the glass plate instead?*

*Note all of the individual wells are just visible through the glass pane but the overall housing does not fit inside.

Hey Scott,

many apologies for my late reply. Actually, one would need to cut out a portion of the middle stage e.g. using a a CNC machine.

Alternatively you could try printing the inner part and then insert it into the assembly after loosening the screws. The latter works, but is quiet tedious when it comes to re-assembling again. Not sure if this helps?
